As a Principal Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking, Home Lending Technology division, your role will be to utilize your expertise to enhance and develop architecture platforms based on modern cloud-based technologies. You will also support the adoption of strategic global solutions. Your advanced architecture capabilities will be leveraged to collaborate with colleagues across the organization, promoting best-in-class outcomes.
Job responsibilities
- Advises cross-functional teams on technology selection to achieve target state architecture and decisions on improvements to current technologies
- Develops multi-year roadmaps aligned with business and architecture strategy and priorities
- Creates complex and scalable coding frameworks using appropriate software design
- Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Serves as the function’s go-to subject matter expert
- Contributes to the development of technical methods in specialized fields in line with the latest product development methodologies
- Creates durable, reusable software frameworks that improves velocity and quality of output across teams and functions
- Champions the firm’s culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Expertise in one or more programming language(s), deep knowledge in one or more software, applications, and architecture
- Advanced knowledge of software architecture, application development, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex architecture problems in one or more technical disciplines, experience leading a product as a Product Owner or Product Manager
- Ability to present and effectively communicate to Senior Leaders and Executives, Understanding of the business
- Practical cloud native experience
- AWS Solution Architect Professional certification
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Minimum of 10 - 15 years of development or technical architecture experience with demonstrated increases in responsibility
- Knowledge of major public cloud platforms, ideally with current solutions architecture certification in at least one (preferably AWS).
- ideal candidate is someone with Home Lending/Mortgage Processing experience domain knowledge
- Minimum of 10 years using industry-standard architecture methodologies (Domain Driven Design, TOGAF, UML, etc.)
