About the Role:
We are actively seeking a highly skilled Principal Cloud Platform Architect to join our Platform Engineering Team based in Dallas, TX. This role requires a seasoned expert with deep knowledge in cloud architecture, data management, and enterprise-wide technology integration. The successful candidate will design and implement robust cloud solutions that meet both current and future needs of our diverse business units.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain comprehensive cloud architecture frameworks, integrating data models, dictionaries, and maps across various enterprise projects.
Design and deploy cloud solutions in alignment with organizational policies, standards, and best practices.
Lead efforts in enterprise data strategy, governance, stewardship, and metadata management to ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
Architect and implement Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions across multiple cloud providers including AWS, Azure, GCP and OCI.
Oversee large-scale data architectures, ensuring efficient data modeling, database design, and information system implementations.
Act as a technical leader within multi-disciplined, matrixed teams, promoting innovative solutions and emerging technologies to enhance operational efficiency and security.
Design assured Landing Zones with shared services for tenants, focusing on logging, audit, ingress/egress controls, Protective and Operational Monitoring, along with DevOps automation and CI/CD tooling.
Requirements:
Minimum of five years’ experience in cloud or hybrid environments, with a strong focus on cloud architecture and data management.
Proven expertise in designing and deploying cloud solutions to major platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP and OCI.
Deep understanding of enterprise data strategy, governance practices, and stewardship principles along with knowledge in data standards and metadata management.
Expertise in PaaS, and SaaS services including compute, storage, network, security, administration, automation, application services, and databases.
Ability to act both as an individual contributor and as a technical leader within large, diverse teams.
Experience in architecting cloud-based security solutions and familiarity with container-based architectures including Kubernetes.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a broad audience.
Nice to Have:
Experience in managing and optimizing container orchestration systems and implementing advanced security measures in cloud architectures.
Experience in designing and implementing hybrid burst cloud architecture control plane strategies for seamless integration and operational flexibility across private and public clouds.
