Description
Position Purpose:
Ensure IT security policies and procedures by administering and monitoring security profiles, creating and reviewing security violation reports, and investigating security exceptions. Update, maintain, and document IT security controls. Provide technical support to end-users and all levels of employees, ensuring adherence to information security policies, procedures, and standards.
What You'll Do:
- Design and configure system access rules and permissions within multiple environments to protect information resources within the enterprise. Develop and configure security system registration and provisioning tools. Ensure requests are accurately provisioned to create, modify, delete, maintain and monitor system access.
- Communicate with internal and external customers on access to various applications. Assist customers with access issues, request submissions, and other issues related to Data Security. Provide customer training as needed.
- Complete periodic reviews/audits to ensure compliance with company, state and federal regulations and to ascertain and correct security risks/violations. Work with System Security Officers and I/S area support groups to address system security issues, audits, reviews, evaluations, standards, and best practices.
- Create, run, and analyze reports from the enterprise server. May audit/analyze security reports to develop risk analysis scenarios and response procedures.
- Provide expertise and assistance on project teams with regard to data access issues. Attend meetings to discuss the design, development, implementation, and updating of comprehensive system access, security solutions and changes.
- Review and implement access security features, changes, and upgrades on systems, applications, hardware, and software. Review departmental procedures and recommend changes to increase efficiency and security. Update documentation to reflect improvements and communicate those changes to the area.
To Qualify For This Position, You'll Need:
Required Education:
- Bachelor's in a job related field
- OR 4 years job related work experience
- OR Associate's and 2 years job related work experience
Required Work Experience:
- 4 years IT technical experience in infrastructure and/or applications including 2 years identity/access management experience creating, modifying and deleting user access accounts and permissions.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Intermediate knowledge of IT security systems and concepts. Intermediate knowledge of LAN access control systems.
- Intermediate knowledge of LAN auditing and access management tools and scripts.
- Intermediate knowledge of enterprise server and LAN applications and subsystems.
- Intermediate knowledge of industry standards for corporate information security systems.
- Intermediate knowledge of industry standards for corporate information security systems.
- Able to quickly learn new tools and emerging technologies.
Required Software and Other Tools:
Standard office equipment.
We Prefer That You Have:
- Experience in supporting the infrastructure / application environment within a CMS Claims Processing Environment for Part A, Part B and DME Claims
- Mainframe Infrastructure and Application skills such as but not limited to z/OS, CICS, RACF, JCL, Vanguard and/or z/Secure Security Tools
- Strong background in Mainframe Security across several areas, IE: RACF, USS, CICS, z/OS.
- Strong knowledge of all the RACF commands, dataset class, and the RACF general resource classes.
- Strong knowledge of the mainframe DISA STIG.
- Ability to run SMF reports (utilizing zSecure) to analyze access to resources.
- Ability to work with Auditors and to produce required reports for artifacts and to address findings.
- Ability to follow change control and to carefully plan and implement any high-risk security changes.
- Ability to work numerous RACF incidents and requests in a given day and ability to update the tickets clearly.
- Knowledge of utilizing the SYSLOG, SMF reports, and the RACF database to diagnose security errors.
- Knowledge of the RACDCERT command the ability to implement and renew certificates and manipulate rings on the mainframe.
- Knowledge of the use of the Vanguard Compliance Manager software.
- Knowledge of the use of the z/Secure Admin & Audit software.
- A plus to write REXX code to post-process SMF and Database reports.
- Ability to work closely in a team environment to help one another and share ideas.
Preferred Education:
Bachelor's degree-in Computer Information Systems/Technology or other job related degree.
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
- In-depth knowledge of IS customer departments and their functions.
- In-depth knowledge of IS requirements for governmental programs and regulations. In-depth knowledge of corporate's IS policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
