As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector on the Employee Platforms team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
As a Software Developer with Identity & Access Management Skills you will solve complex and broad business problems with simple and straightforward solutions. Through development and modeling, you will configure, model, develop, and optimize the Identity and Access management of data and access to data for applications and their associated consumers to independently decompose and iteratively improve on solutions. You are a significant contributor to your team by sharing your knowledge of end-to-end operations, availability, reliability, and scalability of your data and the application or platform that utilize that data.
Job responsibilities
- Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
- Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
- Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
- Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
- Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
- Model and Create Access Control using a security frameworks that determine who has access to resources through authentication and authorization rules by gaining consensus from peers where appropriate
- Collaborates with other software engineers and teams to design and implement I&AM approaches using IaaS (Terraform) automated continuous integration(Jenkins) and continuous delivery pipelines(Spinnaker)
- Collaborates with other business users to model, design, develop, test, and implement Role, Attribute, Policy and Discretionary Access Control method solutions in their data and applications consuming data.
- Understand Open Policy Agent (OPA) and other Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) I&AM approaches.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied expereince
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Proficient in coding in one or more languages, such as, Python, Java, and Spring Boot
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- Formal training or certification on Identity & Access Management (I&AM) with AWS and Immuta
- Proficient using Immuta to define subscription and data policies as code.
- Experience leveraging Immuta and Databricks integration automating access to data products or data sets and understand Immuta's Global Subscription policy.
- Experience with Immuta ABAC and tagging of data sources as associated with the user, access and grants.
