JOB SUMMARY
The Principal Reliability Engineer is a member corporate refining support team that provides standardization, direction, and guidance for the Mechanical Integrity and Reliability Programs in the area of rotating equipment. This position is a key in establishing and promoting a reliability centered culture for all manufacturing operations. This role serves as the rotating equipment champion for the company, supporting short-term training and troubleshooting, middle-term strategy generation and implementation, and long-term project and turnaround scope development to create sustainable performance.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 4 year / Bachelor's Degree (Required)
- Fifteen (15) or more years experience in Oil & Gas, or related experience (Required)
- Two (2) or more years experience in a supervisory or management role (Preferred)
- Professional Engineer (PE) Certification (Preferred)
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Provide rotating equipment engineering technical support to refinery operating units, environmental activities and plant projects to improve reliability, process safety and environmental performance.
- Support process safety, safety, and environmental compliance by participating in process hazard analysis, incident investigations, procedure development, management of change, alarm management, pressure protection management, and providing technical assistance for work scope development, and assessment of operating impacts on rotating equipment.
- Administrator of Engineering Design Practices (maintain EP compliance to industry RAGAGEPs, submit changes per governing process)
- Champion Mechanical Integrity program for rotating equipment and associated systems including center of excellence for all associated quality assurance activities
- Design improvements for equipment/systems to improve overall reliability, availability, and predictability of production, improve process safety and environmental performance including complex designs.
- Support of expense and capital project development related to rotating equipment (specification reviews, drawing reviews, contractor / supplier QC reviews, FATs)
- Lead mentor to site engineering contacts in rotating equipment
- Perform equipment reliability analysis and recommends improvements based on Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) findings.
- Facilitate & support Turnaround work scope development, Turnaround execution
- Assist in developing and sustaining Reliability Centered Strategies for rotating equipment across all Refineries
