Essential Function
The Sr IT Manger will be responsible for all aspects of project to deliver our modernization efforts in Distribution and transportation systems. Ideal candidate will have experience in designing and deploying WMS application. The candidate will also have experience in other applications supporting the execution of the Supply chain systems, such as Oracle GTM, Proship and TMS.
Primary Duties
50% Project Delivery
- Implement new technologies and enhancements in alignment with defined company strategies and with strict adherence to defined project management procedures. Oversee multiple, concurrent projects which can be large and/or complex.
- Coordinate with PMO to modify procedures as needed to maximize effectiveness and controls.
- Project Leadership: Lead the end-to-end implementation of WMS, including planning, execution, and delivery. Facilitate project plan & ensuring all phases of the project are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Drive the design, optimization, and implementation of Warehouse Management System, Oracle GTM and Transportation Management systems utilizing industry best practices and process methodologies.
- Lead solution design for implementation of projects in Supply chain execution systems
- Develops solutions by describing requirements in a work-flowchart and diagram; studying system capabilities; analyzing alternative solutions; preparing system specifications.
- Works with the team on identifying configuration changes that can be made to meet the requirements. Provides feedback on configuration solution over custom solutions.
- Works with the team to create and modify extensions to personalize features or functions.
- Complies with existing documentation requirements required for the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Conduct and/or guide system integrations between Warehouse Management Software and/or Warehouse Execution software with Host systems.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders. Provide regular updates on project progress, issues, and resolutions. Ensure clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead the data mapping phase - be able to understand the data needed in the systems and be able to translate the need to Host system, OMS System and partner with Integration engineering team complete the data mappings needed.
- Work with Controls team such as - Dematic, Tompkins , Trew etc for MHE and conveyor integration
- Review and facilitate Testing and deployment phases of the project.
20% Production Support
- Lead the team to support the new applications as it is being deployed.
- Partner with Managed services team to establish the knowledge transition plan
- Available as an SME to help triage issues when needed
20% Management
- Manage IT staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising performance with a strong focus on development and succession planning
10% Security and Finance
- Contribute to creating the annual department budget and ensure cost effectiveness of all assigned activities.
- Audit systems and assess their outcomes to ensure security of data, network access and backup systems of assigned areas in compliance with defined IT Security policies and practices.
Open for travel upto 20% of the time for design discussions and support Go-Lives.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proven hands-on working experience as an IT manager or relevant experience.
- Strong Functional and Technical understanding of Tier 1 WMS system is required (example – Manhattan Active/WMOS, Korber , Blue Yonder, Softeon etc).
- Experience in SQL and reading real-time event-based log files.
- Technically diverse across Windows/Linux Operating Systems environments, MS SQL Server databases, Middleware, basic networking, scripting (SQL, Python, PowerShell)
- Experience with programming languages: Such as .Net, Java, PL/SQL
- Experience with REST Web Services/API calls
- Expert knowledge in Git/Github/Jenkins/Azure DevOps
- SQL Service Broker / JSON expertise
- Product development experience in Warehouse Management Systems and/or Warehouse Execution Systems
- Past experience as a WMS/WES SME with knowledge of Inbound Processing, Outbound Processing, Physical Inventory, RF Transactions, cycle counting, general warehousing, and MHE/Automation integration.
- Experience with Warehouse Control systems, Transportation Systems and Oracle GTM is preferred.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, books, small parts; using a keyboard, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
