Job Description
The Team:
The Platform Team in the Investment Technology organization creates a competitive edge for our investment professionals by delivering high quality solutions that improve speed to insight and speed to market for products.
Partnering closely with the Investments Business, we build and integrate applications, core services, data warehouses, and analytics platforms that optimize workflows across portfolio management, trading, compliance, and research capabilities. Our goal is to build best in class solutions that enable our investment teams to execute on Invesco’s strategy to deliver the best investment experience for our clients.
As a Principal Engineer, you will be a part of an agile squad that specializes in building applications and core services to optimize portfolio management, modeling and trading capabilities.
Your Role:
• Work with business partners and product owners to understand requirements and convert into smart, forward-looking solutions.
• Build & maintain cloud native applications that scale as our business grows.
• Build & maintain core services that enable specialized technology solutions to integrate with core applications.
• Collaborate with the larger technology organization to advance standardization & best practices i.e. devsecops, agile adoption.
What You Bring:
• Strong experience (8+yrs) in designing and implementing RESTful microservices.
• Strong experience in AWS & cloud native applications.
• Strong experience in Java Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
• Working knowledge of Agile.
• Working knowledge of investment products (Equities, Fixed Income & Derivatives) a plus.
