Department: Information Services (IS) – Infrastructure and Technical Services
Location: Lakeland, FL (Hybrid Schedule)
Position Description
The Sr. Infrastructure Analyst is responsible for provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, troubleshooting, and maintaining systems’ hardware/software and related infrastructure. This role will analyze and identify all or part of the existing or new network requirements, taking into consideration the special technological needs of the Sponsor. The position also requires LAN/WAN/VPN Connectivity troubleshooting and configuration. This person will assist with project planning, tracking, and communication for major initiatives in the Information Technology department for the company. The individual is an escalation point for provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, troubleshooting, and maintaining production and DR related infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting LAN/WAN/VPN/Firewall connectivity issues and serve as an escalation for more advanced issues.
- Monitoring network systems and ensuring that both LAN and WAN are available for maximum up time.
- Coach/mentor team members on trouble shooting techniques
- Lead and oversee any projects the team is actively working on related to networking.
- Develop test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines for various projects.
- Stay abreast of how technology infrastructures are currently impacting and driving competitors.
- Provide support per request from team members and system users. Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
- Participate in on call/ticket rotation.
- Repair and recover from hardware or software failures using root cause analysis practices. Coordinate and communicate with impacted organizations.
- Install hardware such as cables, switches, routers, and wireless access points.
- Upgrade network hardware and software components as required.
- Manage hardware and software technologies which includes routing, switching, wireless, and load balancing.
- Assist with maintaining the virtual environment and Cisco UCS blade infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain network documentation to include network architecture, maintenance, and operations procedures.
- Work with team members to create standard configurations for network equipment.
- Work with Technical Advisor to create network architecture.
- Assist with creation of technology road maps; set and shape the direction of the network.
- Perform periodic KPI reporting to support capacity planning.
- Follow ITIL framework / best practices.
- Implement solutions to optimize the infrastructure operations, and for conducting research and development to ensure continual innovation as needed.
- Familiar with RF and Bar-Coding technologies including mobile scanning (Handhelds/Truck mounts) and barcode printing solutions (Zebras printers)

Experience
At least 5 years of experience designing and maintaining network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience with the following:
- Virtualization technologies: VMware
- Storage technologies: iSCSI and replication
- Business needs and requirements development.
- Experience with IT Operations Process models
- Experience with requirements analysis, network design, full lifecycle development/management
- Strong experience in hardware engineering, performance analysis, engineering, and data center operations including standup and maintenance.
- Understanding of networking technology fundamentals; routing, switching, firewalls and wireless technology.
- Understanding and demonstrated experience with DHCP and DNS.
- Understands purpose, use and implement SSL and other encrypted technology.
- Experience in the 3PL; warehousing (WMS), transportation (TMS), Omni-channel, and fulfillment industry is preferred.
- Experience in warehouse systems and bar-coding technologies including portable scanning and label printing equipment is preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to travel up to 10% to provide site support as needed.
- Ability to accomplish tasks with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge with Change Management processes
- Strong communications skills, both verbal and written
- Interpret and/or discuss information with others, which involves terminology or concepts not familiar to many people; regularly provide advice and recommend actions involving rather complex issues. May resolve problems within established practices.
