The School of Technology and Innovation in the College of Business, Innovation, Leadership, and Technology (BILT) at Marymount University invites applications from persons qualified to teach undergraduate and graduate Cybersecurity lecture and hands-on courses on topics that include: Principles of Cybersecurity, Corporate Cybersecurity, Network Attack and Defense, Risk Management. Cyber Threat Intelligence, Incident Response, Global Cybersecurity, Cyber Warfare, and more.
Faculty are expected to teach high quality courses in online and face-to-face settings. The School of Technology and Innovation within the College of BILT is located at Marymount University’s Ballston Center in the city of Arlington, Virginia. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach designated courses, face-to-face and/or online (synchronous and asynchronous), including keeping teaching materials current, interacting with the learners in discussions and hands-on activities, the continuous grading of assignments, and monitoring each learner’s performance throughout the courses.
Maintain appropriate office hours and support all learners in their educational journey and in their career progression.
Work with the School of Technology and Innovation Director to identify new subjects in the field and identify yourself or others as guest speakers and potential adjuncts to deliver this material.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
Master’s degree is required with a minimum of 18 graduate credits directly related to the cybersecurity field.
A terminal degree (PhD, DBA or DSc) is desirable
From three to five years of professional experience in the cybersecurity field, in government or industry) is preferred.
Experience teaching in higher education or with adult learners, including project-based learning, is preferred.
Licenses or Certifications
Certifications such as CISSP or CEH are desirable,
