Endotronix is a medical device company that aims to transform the treatment of heart failure, a chronic, progressive condition in which the heart is unable to pump enough blood to support the body. Our Cordella Heart Failure System (CHFS) includes proactive management tools for best practice care and detection of worsening heart failure. These easy-to-use tools improve patient quality of life and help to reduce hospital admissions thereby reducing health care costs. WHAT YOU’LL DO
As our Information Technology Director you will oversee the management of IT operations and buildout of the IT services team. This includes end-user solutions, IT asset management, cyber security support, and working closely with senior leadership and outside IT consultants. You will support projects for Enterprise IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, incident response management, IT Help Desk, and the delivery of all IT services that support the company business operations. This is a full-time, onsite position based in Naperville, Illinois. Your varied responsibilities will include:
- Develop and implement IT operations strategies involving all end-user solutions and technologies.
- Manage and coordinate projects involving business information systems at corporate offices and field locations, with a primary focus on end-user solutions and technologies.
- Develop and improve IT processes, policies, and procedures involving business information systems.
- Oversees management of the entire lifecycle of end-user solutions and technologies, from procurement to distribution, operation, and disposition.
- Coordinate training and orientation for new end-user solutions and technologies and oversee the efforts to help company employees become familiar with them.
- Research and recommend changes and upgrades to the system; coordinate third-party maintenance for network equipment; maintain accurate and compliant licenses, certifications, and subscriptions.
- Collaborate with vendors to diagnose system issues and recommend solutions; performs end-user training and provide end users with training documents and/or resources; oversee the implementation of software components for approved applications.
- Develop and maintain the Company’s information technology security infrastructure; ensure adequate back-up of data, applications, and databases; protect system by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources; make recommendations to implement security improvements and/or updates to mitigate risk by assessing current situation, evaluating trends and anticipating requirements; oversee the deployment, integration and initial configuration of all new security solutions and/or enhancements in accordance with applicable procedures and policies.
- Install, administer and monitor firewalls, content and spam filters and network equipment logs for security intrusions and vulnerabilities; support firewall technologies and network monitoring products; safeguard agency information assets by identifying and resolving potential and actual information security events; prepare thorough documentation pertaining to all installations; prepare regular security reports and complete special reports required for compliance with accreditation, grantees and/or federal and state agencies.
- Act as liaison to technology vendors and coordinate vendor technology meetings and evaluations; assist in the evaluation, acquisition, and deployment of software and hardware.
- Test hardware and software compatibility; configure workstations; set up and maintains PCs, servers, routers and switches; install and provide support for network operating systems, firewall technologies and network monitoring products; prepare thorough documentation pertaining to all installations.
- Participate in emergency response activities as assigned; available to respond to end users, either in person or over the phone during assigned business hours; may need to be available to respond to after-hours emergency calls.
- Maintain required training, licensure and/or certification; maintain confidentiality of privileged information and adhere to privacy laws.
- Function as an enterprise project manager for multiple high-visibility, high impact cross-functional projects.
- Lead and inspire a team to achieve high performance and meet departmental objectives.
- Set clear goals and expectations for team members and provide regular feedback.
- Adapt and respond to changing needs of the department as it scales.
- Onboard and mentor new team members as the department expands.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- 10+ years of relevant IT experience required
- 3+ years of experience managing IT staff
- Extensive experience managing the entire lifecycle of endpoint assets in medium to large enterprise environments: laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices (smartphones, tablets)
- Extensive experience with Identity and Access Management solutions like Active Directory, Azure AD
- Ability to proactively identify and solve problems
- Attention to detail and highly organized

- Experience and skills in developing recommendations for technology systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Well-honed interpersonal skills to develop and maintain positive and professional relationships with internal and external customers
- Proven ability to create IT project plans, coordinate and implement the projects, and provide leadership to any team members
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, systems engineering, or related field required
