Position Overview
Align seeks an experienced Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure Project Manager to join our team and help manage our high-performance compute (HPC) private cloud infrastructure. Candidates must led initiatives across compute, storage, network, and datacenter operations, working at the intersection of hyperscale environments and advanced cloud technologies. In this role, you will be responsible for daily operations of the data center as well as the end-to-end management of projects aimed at optimizing and scaling our infrastructure. Your work will span high-performance computing (HPC) with CPU and GPU resources, network management, and storage solutions. We are looking for someone with a strong background in cloud infrastructure operations, ideally with experience working in a large infrastructure environment. This is a high-impact role in a complex technical environment, and you will have the opportunity to collaborate with leading engineers and architects. You will oversee project timelines, manage resources, and ensure alignment between the technical team and business goals.
- The Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure Project Manager will be based in our Dallas, TX office expected to be onsite 5 days a week at our Data Center

Requirements
Key Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in data center operations or project management, specifically in cloud infrastructure or datacenter environments
- You are a highly organized, technically adept operations or project manager with experience in managing complex infrastructure projects.
- You are adept at bridging the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders and are comfortable navigating the fast-paced demands of high-performance compute environments.
- Experience managing projects related to compute (CPU/GPU), storage, networking, and datacenter infrastructure at scale
- Strong project management skills including planning, resource allocation, budgeting, and risk management
- Proficiency in managing cloud-native infrastructure projects (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform) from a management perspective
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to communicate technical requirements and project statuses effectively across both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams, ensuring that project objectives are clear and met on time
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills to manage project challenges and guide teams to successful outcomes
- Familiarity with HPC or large-scale computing systems
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- The ability to troubleshoot complex technical challenges and provide strategic guidance to engineering teams
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full project lifecycle for high-performance compute infrastructure initiatives, ensuring successful delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including compute engineers, architects, and cloud operations to design and implement robust HPC solutions.
- Drive the planning, execution, and delivery of projects involving cloud-based and on-premises compute infrastructure, including scheduling, risk management, and resource allocation.
- Define project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle while managing dependencies and adjusting plans as needed.
- Provide regular updates to leadership on project status, key milestones, risks, and dependencies, ensuring visibility across the organization.
- Support post-implementation reviews, ensuring continuous improvement for future projects.
- Ensure projects align with long-term business strategies and the company’s technical roadmap.
