Keating O'Gara, a law firm in Lincoln, Nebraska, is seeking a Firm Administrator. Our ideal candidate has prior law firm administrator experience and is familiar with the organizational management issues that arise in a law firm. Duties include managing the firm in the operational areas listed below. We are looking for someone who can be a creative and thoughtful resource to both the firm owners and staff. Understanding of law firm day-to-day operations and information technology is preferred. We have a collaborative and collegial work environment and our administrator works closely with the firm shareholders.
- Accounting – Work closely with the firm's Fiscal Manager to assist with payroll and accounts payable and receivable.
- Organizational analysis and planning – Work closely with the firm shareholders to define the firm's strategic direction and goals. Devise short-term and long-term plans for accomplishing the owner’s organizational goals.
- Facility and equipment management – Manage equipment, office services, and facilities. Conduct regular reviews of inventory and order office supplies and other necessary materials for daily operations.
- Human resource management – Develop and execute strategies that position the firm as a great place to work. Supervise and manage non-attorney employees. Maintain a professional and positive work environment by facilitating effective communication and information sharing among all staff. Update, draft, and implement operational and human resource policies and practices. Assist with hiring, training, and on-boarding new staff.
- Insurance and retirement benefits management – Oversee maintenance and renewal of the firm’s malpractice, liability, cyber, and property insurance policies. Manage the firm’s employee insurance benefits including health, life, and disability. Oversee the firm’s 401k retirement benefit plan.
- Digital operations management – Administer the firm’s digital (IT) operations and cybersecurity posture to ensure uninterrupted and continuous business operation. Work closely with the firm’s IT support partner to address strategic and tactical issues. Train staff regarding firm policy, procedures, and information systems.
- Marketing strategy and execution management – Work collaboratively with the Firm's attorneys to help support and execute strategic and tactical marketing initiatives.
- Firm events management – Take responsibility for the planning and implementation of various office events such as holiday parties, staff appreciation activities, and other social events sponsored by the firm.

This is a salaried role. The annual salary amount offered to the successful candidate will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and fall within a range of $60,000 to $90,000.

This is a full-time in-office position in the firm’s Lincoln, Nebraska, office. The standard work week expectation is up to 40 hours, Monday through Friday. Remote work and hybrid work arrangements are not an option for this position.
