Peraton requires Network Engineers to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3 EOM. This position is located at Hurlburt Field in Florida.
The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.
Under the direction of the Sr. Network Engineer, the Network Engineer performs Tier three network support in accordance with the SIE OPORD. The Network Engineer must be detail-oriented and have in-depth knowledge of networking hardware and software. Must have extensive experience in areas such as network design and implementation, LAN/WAN interfacing, security, Internet protocols and TCP/IP, as well as server and network infrastructure is required. This position tests and analyzes elements of network facilities, including power, software, security features, communications devices, communications lines, modems, and terminals and is responsible for the overall integration of the enterprise network. The Network Engineer is also responsible for planning, modeling, simulation, design, installation, maintenance, management, and coordination of the network. This position monitors and controls the performance and status of network resources by using software and hardware tools, as well as by identifying and diagnosing complex problems and factors affecting network performance. The Engineer must keep their technical skills updated and studies vendor products to determine those which best meet the Government’s needs. This position provides guidance and direction for junior network support technicians.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Providing comprehensive systems and network engineering and architectural planning services.
- Interfacing with O&M personnel by providing strategic design and support to projects as directed.
- Comprehensively reviewing existing architectures on a regular basis, recommending and assisting with the design and implementation of systems and network improvements as required.
- Establishing systems engineering with a focus on the end-to-end functionality of complex systems of
- Establishing service integration, database structure management, active directory services/DNS, Thin/zero client and
- Providing data storage with expertise in SANs technologies, NAS technologies, iSCSI, and DAS
- Establishing portal/web services with expertise in the design of medium to large enterprise farms, geographical replication, interfacing with external data sources and integration of third- party add-ons.
- Monitoring PKI/certificate authority
- Providing CRM
- Performing disaster recovery and backup/restore.
- Supporting efforts for cybersecurity technology, risks identification and risk mitigation strategies related to cybersecurity, and A&A support documentation in accordance with applicable DoD and IC directives.
- Maintaining LAN, WAN and VoIP infrastructures, voice and data network systems, advanced engineering, and administration of multiprotocol routers, multilayer switches, network security devices and network management systems.
- Establishing SATCOM with an emphasis on IP satellite
- Providing support with Wireless networking, Application delivery networking, Cloud computing, Mobile computing, End Point management, and desktop computing
- Providing Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) or other NSA Capabilities Package
- Engineering enterprise data, voice, and video networks
- Establishing and operating network test facilities
- Maintaining a secure transfer of data to multiple locations via internal and external networks
- Working with vendors, the Government, carriers, and technical staff on network implementation, optimization, and ongoing management
- Providing high-level support and technical expertise in networking technology, including LAN/WAN hardware, switches, bridges, and routers
