Position Profile
Weaver is looking for an IT SOX Manager to join our growing Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) department. Our GRC team works with our clients to make a more risk-aware, effective organization that can deliver transformational business change and meet regulatory compliance requirements with a focus on IT functions in this role. Our GRC Services include Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Compliance Monitoring, SSAE 21 (SOC 1, 2 & 3) Reporting, PCI DSS Assessments, Internal Audits, external audit support over IT, process improvement advisory projects and cybersecurity assessments. Weaver’s GRC – IT team focuses on assisting the Information Technology/Information Security functions within organizations, while specializing in industry knowledge and is a high-performing, dynamic team with great growth and results.
An IT Manager is responsible for day-to-day execution of engagement objectives primarily for IT SOX, IT Internal Audit, System Implementation Assistance projects, and process improvement advisory projects while supervising teams of staff members on multiple concurrent engagements. This individual has a thorough understanding of the interaction of systems and financial processes and has experience managing engagement economics and client expectations to drive successful completion of engagement objectives. This position will offer the opportunity to travel based on client needs.
To be successful in this role, the following qualifications are required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in public accounting or similar industry role
- Experience in managing, mentoring and developing staff
- Comprehensive understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 and the role that IT plays in compliance
- Extensive understanding of systems infrastructure and security, connectivity, remote access, and data mining
- Understands Energy processes and Energy Systems and Internal Audit for Public Companies
Additionally, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Master’s degree or further education in information systems is preferred
- CISA or CISSP certifications are preferred, CPA and/or CIA are also beneficial
