Senior Network and Security Architect
Profile & Description:
The Network and Security Architect Advanced will participant within the Network and Security organization.
Network and Security Solutions Architects provide overall direction, guidance, definition, and facilitation for the development of current and future network and security architectures to meet our needs, goals, and strategic vision. The role will interface with other architects across all departments, proactively assisting in defining the direction for future products.
Will actively participate and lead security and network assessments and compliance assessments against a number of industry standard frameworks such as CIS, NIST and CMMC and work to support our security and compliance requirements along with those of our clients.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and deployment of solutions that meet our as well as our client's business needs with a focus on ensuring that these solutions meet the defined security and compliance requirements.
- Lead the networking requirements within the pre-sale's organization
- Actively work with other solution architects as well as delivery operational staff to maintain and enhance the security posture of the organization.
- Ability to work closely with client, senior managers, and project managers to design and assist with the implementation of the solutions infrastructure related components
- Developing and the delivery of secure solutions that align with our pre-sale's strategy is a key objective of this role.
- Lead the investigation and preparation of recommendations and the business case to help justify the selection and adopting of new networking/ security capabilities within our Service offerings.
- Help develop the required materials to enable us to operationalize selected products and technologies.
- Defining appropriate levels of documentation to ensure that networking compliance requirements are met.
- Interface across all departments and actively participate in proactively helping define the direction for future products.
- Serving in this role requires an individual to be a self-starter, working both independently and as a team member
- Vendor relationship management both at a technical and business level
- Supporting the Security and Compliance Assessment and consulting line of business
- Practical understanding of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST 800-171, CIS Critical Security Controls and the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), NIST 800-53
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills driven by a logical, methodical approach.
- Demonstrated verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to team members.
- Must have strong desire to drive and adapt to change quickly.
- 3+ years of experience in network architecture/design
� 7+ years of experience in network engineering including the implementation and management of LAN/WAN/WLAN and Next Gen firewalls
� Experience with Cisco and Fortinet technologies
