Position Summary

BGI is seeking a Network Engineer for a full-time temporary contract position. We are looking for someone with expertise in firewall, router, and switch configuration, as well as an understanding of cybersecurity standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring secure network infrastructure that aligns with federal security guidelines. The role will involve replacing an edge firewall appliance with a Juniper SRX Series firewall.

Job Responsibilities

Juniper Firewall configuration
Implementing and maintaining secure network infrastructure, including site-to-site and remote access VPNs
Internal IDS/IPS implementation

Requirements

Required and/or Preferred Qualifications (education, experience, licenses, skills)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Juniper firewall configuration
Knowledge of NIST 800-171 or similar compliance standards
Secure site-to-site and remote access VPN configuration
Intrusion detection and prevention

Computer Equipment and Software:

Juniper SRX Series firewall

Education and/or Experience:

Relevant Network Certification (JNCP, Network+, etc.)
Experience with pfSense and Junos OS
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a network related area

Salary and Benefits

$55-$75 per hour
