POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Development Representative will work with the President to promote our services and solutions to schools and school districts. The individual will be in charge of creating and implementing a strong sales plan, finding new opportunities, nurturing current client relationships, and consistently exceeding revenue targets. Responsible for reacting quickly to requests for quotes for all services and closing new sales. Working closely with our three main teams (Managed Services, Cybersecurity, and Shield) to develop attractive marketing campaigns, refine sales materials, and help set competitive pricing strategies will be a key part of the role.

Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a forward-thinking sales strategy that aligns with our overall goals, ensuring each step is well thought out.

Business Expansion: Be the trailblazer in discovering new business prospects and markets, extending our customer base across Ohio and beyond.

Building Relationships: Forge strong and lasting connections with potential clients, acting as the catalyst for mutually beneficial partnerships.

Financial Expertise: Create precise sales forecasts and budgets, consistently delivering on revenue targets.

Quote Machine: Quickly and accurately respond to requests from customers and in-house staff to create quotes and proposals for new services. Follow opportunities and close sales.

Pricing Wizardry: Mastermind pricing strategies and skillfully negotiate customer contracts.

Team Collaboration: Work harmoniously with our operations and product teams to shape engaging sales materials, attractive offerings, creative campaigns, and smart product positioning.

Market Watch: Keep a close eye on cybersecurity trends and competitive developments, providing valuable insights to refine our sales tactics.

Empower the Business: Play a crucial role in boosting our business functions with your sales expertise.
Company Support
Support company-wide initiatives with the Leadership team to drive a positive company culture and the ability to grow/scale the company through standards

Work with the Executive Team, Regional Directors, and on-site staff to provide input/insights on company initiatives

Participate in Monthly Team Meetings and Annual Staff Training

Preferred Qualifications

CCRE, CC, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent Industry-standard certification in cybersecurity

Bachelor's degree in technology, business, marketing, or a related field

Technical knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of how the company products work

Growth mindset with a passion for new challenges, continued growth, and feedback

2+ years of technology sales experience in the K12 market
-
2+ years of educational technology experience

Experience working in a school or educational environment
Work Environment & Physical Demands
This job operates in a professional school environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The individual has the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Additionally:

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position; typical work hours are 40, Monday through Friday. Our hours of operation are 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM. We offer flexible schedules within this time frame to fit your needs. After-hours support may be required on an as-needed basis.
Travel
This position may require travel (up to 40%) to support client meetings, client sales presentations, attend training, attend conferences, or attend meetings. A reliable form of transportation is required. Vinson reimburses employees at the federal mileage rate after 40 miles of travel per day.
