As we continue to grow our network, our technology needs have grown as well. To keep up with a changing and complex landscape, we're seeking a Data Center Manager (DCM) to support the performance, availability, and security of the organization's data. This role will work collaboratively with IT management to review existing procedures and ensure appropriate steps are being taken to protect and manage data. The role will also be responsible for implementing new procedures and policies relating to the installation, configuration, and maintenance of storage systems, networks, and servers within our data centers to ensure that we're meeting performance expectations in terms of operational efficiency.
In addition to supporting process and policy relating to data management, the role will be responsible for ensuring the necessary physical and environmental conditions are met to support optimal function from our hardware; this includes temperate, humidity, and power supply. The DCM will also maintain responsibility for supporting technical infrastructure service when needed for both internal and external clients, will support their team in terms of mentorship, coaching, and day-to-day management, and will support strategic initiatives related to data management and will provide oversight and reporting on department goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Gain a complete understanding of TicketNetwork's data centers and existing policies and procedures relating to data center management
- Review and provide a summary on potential improvements to procedures to better support internal and external clients from a data management perspective
- Utilize technology expertise to support performance, availability, and security of organizational and e-commerce data
- Collaborate with Technology leadership to understand, support, and create action plans
- Provide recommendations and documentation on policies and procedures to ensure industry best practices and company SLAs are upheld and improved
- Vendor and contract management as needed to support hardware functionality including directly supporting logistics for ordering and implementing equipment as needed
- Directly perform and manage process for Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) in terms of updates and reporting
- Prioritize, assign, and take action for onsite response to incidents, support issues, or other requests to support business and data continuity
- Responsibility for overseeing, and participating in, the execution of all projects relating to our data centers
- Additional tasks and projects as assigned
Required Skills:
- Exemplary understanding of data centers including best practices in software and hardware management
- Proactive approach when reviewing technical requirements
- Ability to lead a team and support strategic goals in IT
- Advanced knowledge of DCIM tools, equipment installation, application and system support
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in managing data centers in an e-commerce environment
- 3+ years of experience in supporting networking and infrastructure
- 3+ years of experience in troubleshooting hardware architecture
- 3+ years of experience in IT system management
- Demonstrated experience in managing large projects including budgeting
- At least 2 years of experience in IT infrastructure within the entertainment or ticketing industries preferred

- Monday-Friday, 9:00AM to 6:00PM
- Hybrid work model
- Due to the nature of the role, candidates should be available to be on-call for elevated technical issues
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, MIS, Networking, Cybersecurity, or related field required
- Master's degree in Information Technology, MIS, Networking, Cybersecurity, or related field preferred
