Responsibilities• Manage standardization of rich data logged and stored during an event.
• Manage implementation strategy across feature, platform and hardware systems via new demand process.
• Work with multiple stakeholders to efficiently manage/leverage offboarding technologies and categorization of diagnostic data for root cause analysis.
• Manage allocation of diagnostic manager app across electronic modules and subsystems to meet cost, quality, and feature performance targets.
• Ensure diagnostic backlog prioritization aligns with quality data and target levels.
• Manage bench and vehicle level validation and sign-off processes.
• Comply with Regulations, NHTSA requirements.
• Lead trade-off discussions with cross-functional teams
• Ensure design consistency across different feature development teams.
• Communicate systems, diagnostic issues and resolutions in a clear and concise manner.
• Champion automation of software and system quality measures at all stages – leveraging tools and techniques like BDD, Jira, TestRail, etc.
• Work with product managers/feature owner to identify feature roadmap to define key metrics to track success of features, which would include customer acquisition, activation, retention, and satisfaction, and product quality
• Champion data literacy within the organization and drive adoption rates
• Establish data roadmap for feature teams, plan for iterative improvement, to help the team achieve their vision and mission
• Work with software architects and other stake holders to identify key data collection methodology and opportunities
• Define requirements for each feature, work with FSE team and other key stakeholders to release the requirements
• Define the high-level design for data instrumentation, capture, retention and visualization, and champion the process as the technical expert for data.
• Cascade the requirements down to cross functional software teams, ensure prioritization and approval for implementation
• Translate requirements of large data initiatives into smaller actionable items, work closely with software scrum teams to time implementation
• Validate data collected, build dashboards, ensure data accuracy, use SQL, Python/R to create visualizations for validations
• Drive visualizations using collected data, by working with visualization teams, establish clear and well-defined dashboards
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or related degree
• 3+ years of experience with vehicle electrical systems and/or highly distributed Feature/System development.
• Deep Knowledge and experience creating requirements based on the Gherkin Syntax
• Functional knowledge of data collection platform (DCP), Cloud technology and Cloud Architecture
• Functional Knowledge of Mobile technology and cellular telecommunication
• In-depth knowledge of FNV4 architecture and Autosar standard
• Deep knowledge of cloud cybersecurity (cryptology, RSA, ECDH, etc.)
• Experience in development and application of DFMEA methodologies in avoiding failure modes and driving feature robustness.
• Experience in bench and vehicle level testing, analyzing issues, identify root causes and define solution.
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and written, with the ability to quickly understand and articulate complex issues.
• Emotional resilience to negotiate cross functional trade-offs.
Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s degree in electrical engineering or software Engineering
• 5+ years of related experience in an automotive engineering role
• 2 to 5 years of professional experience as a software developer (Python, C, C++, JAVA)
• 2 to 5 years' experience working in an Agile project environment
• 2 to 5 years' experience with CI/CD tools
• In-depth knowledge of Quality Documents (DFMEA, LFMA, and boundary diagrams)
• Functional knowledge diagnostic methods, data capture, data storage, cloud architecture, over the air data transfer, etc.
• Electrical Systems Engineering experience including understanding of systems engineering V model
• Electrical D&R experience
• Feature Systems and diagnostic Development experience
• Strong Experience with Problem-solving tools to efficiently identify root causes and resolve problems using structured techniques.
