Core Hours are 10am-2pm, beyond that, hours are flexible. It is a full-time opening.
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required.

MISSION:
LATTEART is the implementation of the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF).
LATTEART is a series of applications that fill in various gaps of the RMF needs to include System Registration, Exemption Tracking, Patch Management, and System Monitoring.
System Monitoring makes up the bulk of the work LATTEART does on a day-to-day basis.
However, this distribution of applications, in conjunction with external partner apps results in difficulties for users navigating the RMF process.
The current process forces users to jump from website to website filling out different pieces of information.
LATTEART is tasked with creating a unified RMF infrastructure that can hold the entire process in one location.
Description:
- As part of the Secure the Enterprise initiative, develop capabilities to shift from the current manual system security evaluation and authorization process to a new model that emphasizes automation, streamlined processes and approvals, continuous monitoring and assessment, and network data gathering across the entire life cycle of a project.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- The software engineer (Backend) will provide the development, test, deploy, and sustainment of various Python based ReST end points, microservices, and data model management capabilities utilizing Django and Flask frameworks to interact with data models such as MariaDB, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL and send data upon request, in JSON format, to UI front ends.
Ø The developer will provide middleware and backend support to all system applications.
Ø Debug existing software and correct defects.
Ø Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
Ø Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.
Ø Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments
Ø Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.
Ø Write or review software and system documentation.
Ø Develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards.
Ø Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, confer with users or system engineers; analyze systems flow, data usage and work processes; and investigate problem areas.
Ø Modify existing software to correct errors to improve its performance.
Required Qualifications:
No specific Team yet - Most commonly requested technologies are:
Python, AWS/Cloud, Linux, Flask, Django, MariaDB, MongoDB, Jira, Confluence, Ni-Fi, Angular, Kubernetes, Docker, JSON, Ansible.
Priority at the moment is Data Management, NiFi, UI, API, and DevOps in that order.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Ø BS in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university
Ø 4 years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes made be substituted for a bachelors degree
Ø 7 years’ experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
Approximate Salary Range: $63,000 - $144,200
