What you’ll do
- Design and implement Spring/Spring boot/Java based web applications
- Work end to end on microservices built on cutting edge technologies using Java/J2EE based technologies
- Develop scalable, highly available and reliable microservices based applications
- Collaborate with Architects and other Software Engineering resources in designing and implementing integrated, enterprise solutions
- Use software engineering best-practices and to create quality solutions and designs
- Review & repair legacy code and consistently writes functions that are easily testable, easily understood by other developers, and accounts for edge cases and errors
- Develop technical specifications gathering and writing as needed to maintain system
- Conduct system analysis and development, with limited support from professional staff, to keep our systems current with changing technologies
- Analyze system specifications and translate system requirements to task specifications with keen attention to detail
- Collaborate with cross functional teams in a fast-paced environment
- Work with QA, product management, and operations in an Agile environment
- Analyze current technology environments to identify and assess critical capabilities and recommend solutions
- Participate in resolution of production issues and contribute toward solutions
- Write effective unit and integration tests to ensure high quality software delivery
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, or related technical field
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 1+ years of experience developing applications using Java/J2EE technologies and application frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, Struts, Hibernate
- 1+ years of experience with APIs, Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with
- Data Structures or Algorithms gathered from\: completing a data structures or algorithms class, coursework, course projects, research, individual projects, internships, or other practical experience inside or outside of school or work (including open source hobby coding)
- Software Development and coding in a general-purpose programming language
- XML/JSON and developing REST Services
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, object-oriented programming concepts, and understanding of web technologies
- Comfortable using Git, JIRA and related technologies
- Knowledge of:
- Event Driven Architecture, Cloud Platform (such as GCP, AWS, or Azure), SQL/NoSQL
- Javascript, AngularJs or ReactJs Framework, CSS
- Web services technologies (SOAP)
- Proficient in web development (Backend/Frontend/Both)
- The ability to interface with business stakeholders as well as technical professionals
- Quick learner with passion to learn and adapt to new technologies
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills and being a team player
- Strong Interpersonal skills with ability to effectively relate to key users and stakeholders

$90,000-$115,000. This salary range is specific to Colorado, New York, California, and Washington, and may differ in other locations. We take into consideration an individual’s skills, background, and experience in determining final salary. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands
- Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
- Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach daily
- Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment
- Hours regularly 40 hours per week, as work dictates, from a hybrid office location near our California Office
