Our client is seeking a Software Engineer to provide technical expertise in support of a U.S. Government customer. This full-time position offers the opportunity to assist in sustaining mission-critical software and systems for a large government contract.
Responsibilities:
- Support the innovation team within the CNO's Foundational Services product group, working alongside experienced analysts, operators, and developers.
- Add new functionality to a large-scale microservice ecosystem.
- Automate manual tasks using advanced software engineering techniques.
- Develop next-generation infrastructure automation and implement analytics that notify users of pertinent information.
- Design reliable and intuitive user interfaces and workflows.
- Collaborate with multiple teams and technology stacks to deliver integrated solutions.
Must Have's:
- Active or reinstatable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- 12+ years of experience and a B.S. degree in a technical discipline, or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Self-starter capable of managing timelines, engaging users for feedback, and deploying software solutions.
- Experience in working with users to refine requirements and iterate on solutions.
- Proficiency in Object-Oriented programming languages (Java, C#).
- Familiarity with build environment tools such as Gradle or Maven.
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes for service containerization and deployment.
- Familiarity with Git and JavaScript (especially Angular).
- Experience with Elasticsearch.
Nice to Have's:
- Proficiency in Python for scripting, analytics, and orchestration.
- Experience with distributed messaging systems (e.g., Kafka).
- Knowledge of SIGINT collection and analysis systems.
- Experience with AWS, especially C2S.
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals and production CNO capabilities.
Location: Laurel, MD
Salary: $115,000 to $190,000
