New Iron is seeking a passionate Software Engineering Manager to lead a team building critical integrations for a growing industry leader in risk management (think Fortune 500 clients).
You’ll manage a team of developers building and maintaining hundreds of integrations with various 3rd party technologies. This role offers the chance to make a real impact, ensuring seamless data flow and powering risk management solutions.
Candidates who have recently transitioned into management within the past ~three years, or who are interested in moving toward project management from development, would be ideal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to translate customer requirements into actionable tasks.
- Lead a team of local and overseas developers to deliver integrations on time and within budget.
- Foster a collaborative environment and maximize team productivity.
- Champion quality initiatives to ensure high customer satisfaction and retention.
- Manage project workflows and track key metrics for efficient delivery.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for integrations.
- Work hands-on with the team when needed.
Ideal Candidate:
- 5-8+ years of experience in software development with Java (Spring preferred).
- 2-3+ years of experience building integrations with 3rd party technologies.
- Recently transitioned into management (within the past ~3 years) or interested in moving toward project management from development.
- Proven track record of managing teams using Agile methodologies (Kanban, SCRUM).
- Experience working with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in CS, CE, EE, or similar (Master’s preferred).
