Challenges You Will Solve
Our engineering team builds and operates a platform to deliver unmatched threat detection and response, processing billions of events per day from hundreds of thousands of systems worldwide. As a part of our team, you will be on the front lines of cyber security, learning new technologies and tackling the hardest problems in the field.
You are passionate about applying your technical expertise to quickly ship an MVP based on requirements, and refine it through feedback from your customers. You're comfortable diving into a large Rails application that serves 200+ customers. We are searching for a Rails engineer to join us in building our platform. We continuously push product improvements to production, so on day one you will be making security better for a large number of organizations. Our customers depend on us 24/7, and the software you build makes a meaningful difference to improve their security. This role offers the flexibility to work from our Denver office or remotely.
What You'll Do
- Work dynamically with your engineering team to build, test, and refine our product suite
- Write great code and tackle a wide variety of technical problems, including bugs, new features, and small enhancements on the product
- Collaborate with our product management and design teams to improve our offerings
- Build a product that our customers love by ensuring great quality of your code through tests, both pre- and post-deployment
What You'll Bring
- 2+ years of software engineering experience
- A passion for writing code and taking full ownership of a product or feature from concept to launch
- Experience with Ruby on Rails and other common libraries such as RSpec and Sidekiq
- Familiarity with Javascript, HAML, Redis, Postgres, AWS, Docker, or a combination of similar technologies
- Ability to be in an on-call rotation within the Engineering department
- Confidence in making architectural design decisions that improve scalability and performance
- Knowledge of operating Postgres at scale, including replication, monitoring, and optimization, is preferred
Compensation
- Targeted base salary: $128,000 - $143,000 + bonus eligibility and equity depending on experience
