About the Job
Our company is setting the open-source standard for EL(T). We enable data teams to replicate data from applications, APIs, and databases to data warehouses, lakes, and other destinations. We believe only an open-source approach can solve the problem of data integration, as it enables us to cover the long tail of integrations while enabling teams to adapt pre-built connectors to their needs. So far, we've built over 350 connectors and have had 35,000+ companies replicating data with us. We've raised significant funding from some of the world's top investors and believe in product-led growth, where we build something awesome and let our product bring the users, rather than an outbound sales engine with cold calls. We are remote-friendly, with most of the team based in Silicon Valley. We’re fully transparent as a company, with our handbook, core values, methodology, strategy, and roadmap open to all. If you find this role exciting, we encourage you to apply even if you think you don’t meet all requirements.
Opportunity
Our open-source data movement solution is quickly becoming a best practice for data engineers. To keep up with this demand, we are looking to improve our most important connectors by building a team to focus on their quality, scalability, and performance.
The number of possible data integrations is growing at a faster rate than any single engineering team can support: new APIs, filesystems, and databases are born every day. To build thousands of high-quality data integrations, we need tools that minimize the effort required to build and maintain them. Our team builds the tools needed to produce and maintain high-quality connectors with a fraction of the effort. Our tools provide leverage to help our community and engineers build the connectors they need.
As a software engineer on the Strategic API Integrations Team, you will embark on a mission to make the most highly-used connectors on our platform the best in the industry. To do this, you’ll become a domain expert on industry-leading APIs like Salesforce, Netsuite, and Google Ads, and design the best possible product experience for those connectors. This includes maximizing the throughput, ensuring their reliability, and making them intuitive to use. You’ll be expected to design and implement the evolution of our Connector Development Kit (CDK) and Platform in order to support best-in-class experiences in the future. As an engineer in our company, you’ll have a significant influence on the team roadmap and be expected to take ownership of the most important connectors for our customers. This is a great role for product-minded engineers looking to have a big impact on our business.
This opportunity is for an engineering leader to contribute their deep expertise and experience to large-scale and complex problems. You’ll drive impact by providing thought leadership and context to the organization, driving alignment across teams to achieve success with company objectives, as well as architecting and contributing to our open-source libraries.
