The Software Engineer works as part of a team responsible for participating in the design, development, and testing of healthcare/business related applications and products. Software Engineer primarily focus on more strategic development projects such as key new features or products.
This position will be 100% remote.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND KEY POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
· We expect this engineer to identify as a full-stack developer with a strong focus on front-end development as well as API.
· Participate in the development of healthcare/business related applications.
· Be part of a development team using modern development languages, Relational and NoSQL databases
· Work with Product Owners and teams to drive features and specifications, architecture design, implementation, and other software development responsibilities.
· Works closely with in-house UX team to build out modern, responsive, intuitive interfaces.
· Create and update technical documents
· Provides technical mentoring and knowledge sharing to Software Engineers.
· Contributes to business requirement definition and use case design as technical expert.
· Contributes to business requirement definition and use case design as technical expert.
Minimum Qualifications Experience and Knowledge
· Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
· 3+ years of professional software development experience with good knowledge of Software Development Methodologies and processes
· Advanced knowledge of technologies including, but not limited to: JavaScript/JS Frameworks.
· Experience in Health Care Industry is highly recommended.
· Experience with APIs
· Experience with SSRS
· Programming Languages: Groovy, Java, Python
· Web Technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, XML
· Frameworks: React/Svelte, Grails, Spring Boot, Micronaut
· Databases: MySQL, MarkLogic
· Third Party Tools: Jenkins
· Version Control Tools: Git
· Development Methodologies: Agile model, Test Driven Development
· Patterns and Practices: MVC4, Enterprise Library, SOLID
· Testing Framework: nUnit, Selenium, Jasmine
· Project Management: Jira
· Cloud Technology/Services: AWS (EC2, S3, RDS)
· Knowledge of SMART on FHIR standards and their application in healthcare is plus

The reasonable estimate, if hired in Los Angeles is $100,000.00-$120,000.00. Please note this information is specific to those hired in location.
