The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining mission critical cloud-based applications and services. Voloridge Health offers cutting-edge health diagnostics and a mobile application that tracks client progress, supports goal setting, and monitors their journey toward better health led by health practitioners.
Summary of Job Functions
- Design and build new cloud-based / cloud-native applications, and maintain existing ones
- Debug and optimize new and existing applications, and maintain high levels of test coverage
- Solving hard technical challenges like designing backend systems to support mobile and web applications with large numbers of concurrent users
- Participate in the creation of system design and architecture
- Create documentation and diagrams to communicate designs and system capabilities to technical and non-technical audiences
- Continually review application and operations performance and collaborate with other team members to identify technical debt, increase operating efficiency, or to adapt to new requirements
- Follow our software development process including performing code reviews, and participate in planning ceremonies, and releases, etc.
- Work with product management, stakeholders, and QA to ensure software meets requirements
Minimum Requirements
- At least 10+ years of experience working as a software engineer or senior software engineer
- Proficiency with a memory managed object-oriented language such as Python, C#, Java or server-side JavaScript
- Experience using SQL to write queries to create business functionality and troubleshoot bugs
- Deep understanding of software development techniques and patterns
- Understanding of the fundamentals of computer science, including appropriate use of data structures and algorithms
- Experience with Azure cloud services
- Ability to work onsite in our Jupiter, FL office
Preferred Skills and Previous Experience
- Experience with developing business functionality using SQL Server and/or ClickHouse database technologies
- Experience developing streaming data systems including using services like: Azure Event Hub/Kafka, Azure Functions, Redis
- Experience in health care industry
