Alegeus Technologies develops and supports a complicated benefits software package utilizing real time payment network transaction systems.
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior ASP.NET developer with a strong background in building scalable, high-quality and high-performance web applications on the Microsoft technology stack. As a Senior Developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining internal and external facing web applications. This person will work with a team of experienced analysts, developers and business resources to build highly-performing enterprise systems.
Major Responsibilities:
- Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2005 server side development including SSIS
- T-SQL (Transact SQL) Stored Procedures and Triggers
- The ideal candidate should possess some database administrative experience
- The ideal candidate should possess some experience working with Access applications and strong Excel skills
- Build new systems with .NET 4.0/C#/ASP.NET/ SQL Server 2008/WCF Web Services
- Develop new functionality on our existing software products.
- Participate in an experienced, energetic team and contribute on a defined development schedule.
- All other responsibilities as assigned
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related area is preferred.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Six (+) years’ experience as a developer (lead developer would be a plus).
- Three (+) years’ experience with ASP.NET.
- Two (+) years working with SQL Server (2005/2008 preferred).
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP)
- Deep knowledge of the .NET 3.5/4.0 Framework, including Visual Studio 2008/2010, ASP.NET, WCF Services and ADO.NET.
- Mobile development, Business Intelligence (BI) projects exposure preferred.
- Strong knowledge of software implementation best practices.
- Strong experience designing and working with n-tier architectures (UI, Business Logic Layer, Data Access Layer) along with some experience with service-oriented architectures (SOA).
- Ability to design, develop and optimize SQL Server 2008 stored procedures.
- Experience with jQuery or similar technologies.
- Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment.
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts and software is necessary.
- Candidate should be a self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible team-player and exhibit exceptional relationship management skills.
- Passionate about building high-quality systems with software implementation best practices
- Domain knowledge on payment processing, financial services systems, health insurance, healthcare IT systems, consumer driven healthcare, or employee benefits processing would be preferred.
