Performs infrastructure engineering, design, development, and support of Cloudera Hadoop systems.
Initiates corrective actions to stay on schedule.
Installs, upgrades, and tests complex big data deployments.
Develops and implements recovery plans and procedures for HDP and CDP Hadoop systems.
Implements and maintains complex HIVE/HBASE environment.
Solves difficult technical challenges and collaborates with Data Engineering and Analytics teams to solve technical issues.
Develops alerting and monitoring scripts using Cloudera Manager and APIs and integrates these scripts with Splunk and ServiceNow.
Develops automation scripts that support the Hadoop infrastructure in Python, Shell, etc.
Implements Ansible scripts for deploying infrastructure as code.
Participates in 24/7 on-call support.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field and 3 years of IT experience. Must have experience with: Hadoop; Linux; Python; Shell Scripting; Agile Scrum/Kanban; BI tool integration with Hadoop; developing automation using Ansible, Ansible Tower, and Jenkins; solving HBASE, HIVE, and IMPALA performance issues; Hadoop monitoring using Cloudera Manager and Splunk; Hadoop software upgrades; Docker; and Kubernetes.
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
