The IT Security Analyst role is responsible for designing, implementing, and performing procedures and controls necessary to ensure and protect the safety and security of information systems assets, including prevention of intentional or inadvertent access, modification, disclosure, or destruction. This role will perform security audits and take corrective actions to mitigate risks. The analyst will also monitor and respond to critical application and system vulnerabilities. The IT Security Analyst will participate in incident management and system investigation efforts within established protocols and legalities.
- Ensure information security efforts system-wide are adequately coordinated and in compliance with reducing the overall security risk.
- Assess Spirit's critical applications to ensure they are protected from security exposures and monitored end to end for up-time availability, confidentiality, and integrity purposes.
- Interface regularly with various levels of the IT organization and the internal & external auditors to ensure timely test execution and issue resolution.
- Initiate, design, and implement technology safeguards and processes to ensure that sites and computer systems are up to date relative to operating systems, security patches, and security protection software.
- Work with the functional information security team through the daily management of information security tasks, including identity management, vulnerability management, change management, reporting, and audit facilitation.
- May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate (e.g., emergencies change in workload, rush jobs, or technical developments).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience.
- Security, CEH, GIAC, CISSP, or Azure Security and Compliance Certifications are preferred.
- Experience with implementing Information Security projects.
- Azure experience preferred.
- Ability to analyze and interpret the applicability of local and federal laws/regulations to company operations.
- Experience/Knowledge with network security concepts such as Firewalls, IPS, VPN, Advanced Threat Protection, and Proper Segmentation.
- Experience/Knowledge in the following areas: Active Directory, Database (relationships, tables, fields, queries, etc.) security concepts, eDiscovery, Endpoint security concepts, Encryption, Identity Management, Log Management, Email/Web filtering, Patch Management, Risk Assessment, and security principles/best practices.
- A hybrid work arrangement is available.
