To further our success, we are seeking a skilled IT Manager to oversee and manage all IT-related projects and systems across our portfolio of businesses.
Position Overview:
The IT Manager will be responsible for managing and implementing the technology roadmap across the Barns Capital portfolio. This role includes overseeing the deployment and management of Microsoft 365, server infrastructure, security protocols, EDI setup and transmission, ERP systems, and provisioning tech stacks tailored to each portfolio business's unique needs. The ideal candidate will bring a solid technical background, excellent project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
Technology and Systems Management:
- Oversee and maintain the Microsoft 365 suite across portfolio companies, ensuring smooth deployment, updates, and troubleshooting.
- Manage server infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.
- Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures, ensuring data protection and compliance with industry regulations.
ERP and EDI Management:
- Oversee ERP system implementations, ensuring solutions align with each business's operational requirements.
- Manage EDI setups and transmissions to support seamless integration with partners and customers adhering to industry specifications.
Tech Stack Provisioning:
- Assess and implement technology stacks for new portfolio acquisitions and evolving business needs.
- Work closely with business leaders to align technology solutions with business objectives and growth strategies.
Collaboration and Support:
- Serve as the primary IT contact for portfolio companies, providing guidance and support on IT projects and operational needs.
- Partner with third-party vendors and service providers to ensure effective and timely delivery of services.
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving IT-related issues as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT management, preferably in a private equity or multi-organization environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, server management, ERP systems, and EDI integration.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience managing multiple IT projects and working with cross-functional teams.
