IT Coordinator (aka The Tech Organizer) to streamline IT processes, manage resources, and support effective communication across IT teams.
As an IT Coordinator at
our client, you'll play a vital role in coordinating IT activities, managing schedules, and assisting with project tasks. Your role will be essential in helping IT teams stay organized, on schedule, and aligned with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate IT Support and Operations:
- Act as a central point of contact for IT support requests, prioritizing and dispatching tasks to relevant team members. You'll ensure support tickets are managed efficiently and keep users updated on issue resolution
- Assist with IT Project Planning and Scheduling:
- Support IT project managers with scheduling, resource allocation, and task tracking. You'll coordinate project activities, ensuring deadlines are met and stakeholders are informed of project status
- Manage IT Inventory and Procurement:
- Track hardware, software, and other IT assets, ensuring that equipment is available and well-maintained. You'll coordinate with vendors to procure necessary items and keep inventory records up-to-date
- Facilitate Communication Between IT and Other Departments:
- Serve as a liaison between IT and other departments, ensuring that technical needs are understood and addressed. You'll assist in gathering requirements, providing updates, and facilitating meetings
- Maintain IT Documentation and Records:
- Create and organize documentation for IT processes, systems, and user guides. You'll ensure that all team members have access to up-to-date information for consistent, reliable support
- Assist with IT Training and Onboarding:
- Help new hires get set up with IT systems, providing guidance on basic software, security protocols, and other resources. You'll support training sessions for users as needed
- Track and Report on IT Performance Metrics:
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to IT support, ticket resolution, and project milestones. You'll provide insights to improve operational efficiency and user satisfaction
Requirements
Required Skills:
- Organizational and Coordination Skills: Excellent organizational skills to manage tasks, schedules, and resources across multiple IT functions
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills for interacting with users, vendors, and team members. You can translate technical information into user-friendly language
- Basic IT Knowledge: Familiarity with IT support processes, hardware, software, and network fundamentals. You understand the basics of troubleshooting and user support
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Proficiency in creating and maintaining documentation, including user guides, process records, and IT asset tracking
- Project Coordination Experience: Ability to support project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation. Familiarity with project management tools like Asana, JIRA, or Trello is beneficial
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field. Equivalent experience in IT coordination may be considered
- Certifications in project coordination or IT support (e.g., CompTIA IT Fundamentals+, CAPM) are advantageous
Experience Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in IT coordination, support, or project assistance, with a proven track record in managing IT resources and support requests
- Familiarity with support ticketing systems like Zendesk, ServiceNow, or Freshdesk is beneficial
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment is a plus
