We're looking for a talented Security Analyst in New York who has the experience necessary to help build out our clients' existing infrastructure and troubleshoot problems as they arise. Responsibilities:
- Project, configure, implement, and maintain all security platforms and any other related software, such as anti-virus, routers, Anti-SPAM, switches, intrusion detection or intrusion prevention, firewalls, cryptography systems, SIEM, and MDM
- Plan and appraise ongoing assessment of antivirus, application control, firewall, SIEM, VPN, SSL, intrusion detection or intrusion prevention and other network component policies
- Responsible for network vulnerability management
- Continuously monitor for security threats on the network
- Improve the security landscape through design, implementation, and maintenance of various security measures
- Create and maintain complex network diagrams
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience implementing and managing Cisco products including Switches, Wireless controller, Access points
- Hands-on experience with Firewalls FortiGate and Palo Alto
- Hands-on experience managing AWS
- Hands-on experience managing Okta (MFA and SSO)
- Experience designing technical business solutions using on-prem and cloud-hosted solutions
- Experience with Intrusion Prevention and Data Loss Prevention
- Better to have experience with F5 (LTM, APM and Big-IP VPN)
- Better to have experience with EDR or XDR (Palo Alto Cortex Preferred)
- Better to have experience with Proofpoint email security
- Working knowledge of network standards: Ethernet, VLAN, TCP/IP, HTTP, SMTP, NTP, SNMP, IPsec, NAT, DNS, DHCP, OSPF, BGP, NetFlow and Datacenter networking
- Working knowledge of security operations, threat hunting and SIEM (LogRhythm)
- Ability to work independently, efficiently, in an organized manner and with attention to detail.
- Very good verbal and written communications skills, in addition to good presentation.
Required Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related field required (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years' experience in system engineering and IT support required
- Experience creating automated scripts and software preferred
- Willingness to sign confidentiality agreement and protect trade secrets
- Exceptional networking skills and knowledge
- Experience with an electronic help desk system.
- Certifications in Security, Microsoft and Network are desirable.
