As our Director of Information Technology, you will play a key role in ensuring that our technology infrastructure is cutting-edge, secure, and scalable. This role will combine leadership, strategy, and hands-on expertise, including a strong emphasis on DevOps practices to streamline operations and accelerate the deployment of new solutions.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Information Technology to lead and manage our IT department, including both traditional IT and DevOps teams. You will be responsible for designing and implementing IT strategies, overseeing system administration, and leading our DevOps initiatives to ensure continuous integration, delivery, and automated infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, automation tools, security best practices, and modern DevOps methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Strategy:
- Lead and manage the IT department, including system administration, network infrastructure, cloud platforms, and DevOps functions.
- Develop and implement an IT strategy aligned with company objectives and growth, incorporating cloud-first, automation, and security best practices.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align IT initiatives with the company’s strategic goals.
- Oversee IT budgets, forecasts, and vendor relationships, ensuring cost-effective management of technology resources.
- DevOps Management:
- Lead the integration of DevOps practices into the IT department to streamline development, testing, and deployment processes.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous integration, testing, and delivery of software updates across development and production environments.
- Oversee cloud infrastructure with a focus on scalability, automation, and high availability.
- Ensure effective automation of infrastructure provisioning using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve system performance issues.
- System Administration & Security:
- Oversee IT system architecture, including servers, networks, and storage solutions, ensuring performance and security.
- Establish and enforce IT security policies, including data protection, access management, and compliance with industry regulations (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2).
- Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning, ensuring robust processes are in place for data backup and system recovery.
- Manage software and hardware procurement, ensuring the company’s IT infrastructure meets current and future needs.
- Collaboration & Innovation:
- Work closely with the software development team to ensure smooth integration of code into production environments and improve deployment speed.
- Collaborate across departments to identify and address IT and infrastructure needs.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, proposing new tools and methodologies to enhance operational efficiency, security, and innovation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in IT management, with a proven track record of implementing successful IT and DevOps strategies.
- Technical understanding of Salesforce.com with demonstrated knowledge of and experience with Salesforce.com architecture and APIs.
- Active Salesforce.com certifications or ability to achieve relevant certifications upon hire.
- Experience leading IT and DevOps teams, with excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Expertise in automation and infrastructure management tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
- In-depth knowledge of CI/CD pipeline development and management.
- Familiarity with security best practices, data protection regulations, and compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2, GDPR).
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.
