The Director of Architecture role will lead a group of Architects across the firm to
- Architect and implement cloud-based solutions that meet Firms's needs and requirements based on Firms’s standards and best-practices.
- Design and configure cost-effective cloud infrastructure, such as compute, network, storage, and security components.
- Implement security best practices, ensuring data privacy and managing access controls.
- Work closely with cybersecurity teams to identify and mitigate potential risks and vulnerabilities.
- Provide cost and budget estimates for cloud-based solutions and services.
- Participate in project planning and execution to ensure cloud-based solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
- Provide training and support to internal staff on cloud-based solutions and services.
- Help develop and participate in Firms’s DevSecOps frameworks and support models.
Requirements include:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in cloud architecture and design, with a solid background in architecting and implementing cloud-based solutions, as well as a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, platforms, and services.
- Previous experience working in complex enterprise environments.
- Expertise in data privacy, risk management, vulnerability assessments, and incident management.
- Technical leadership skills
- Experience communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and provide guidance and recommendations on cloud-related matters.
- Must hold and/or be able to pass security clearance requirements, background investigation, reference, and credentials verification.
The position requires advanced knowledge of:
- Cloud security best practices, compliance requirements, and data privacy regulations
- Analysis and optimization of cloud resource utilization, monitoring performance metrics, and recommending improvements to enhance scalability and cost-effectiveness.
- Capabilities and services offered by cloud service providers (including healthcare specific cloud solutions), and knowledge of the features, limitations, and pricing models of different cloud service providers.
- Migration of on-premise systems to the cloud and integrating cloud-based solutions with existing IT infrastructure
- Compliance and risk management, including security, privacy, and regulatory requirements, and ability to assess and manage risks associated with cloud environments.
- Cloud-native application development, DevOps practices, and continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- Cloud networking concepts, virtual private networks (VPNs), firewalls, and other security measures to ensure the secure and reliable communication between cloud resources.
- Cloud compliance frameworks and standards, such as HIPAA, PCI DSS, and GDPR, and ability to ensure that cloud environments meet these requirements.
- Knowledge of various healthcare related code sets such as CPT-4, ICD-9/10, LOINC, SNOMED.
