Job Title: Cybersecurity COE Project Manager - Mid
Position Overview
The Cybersecurity COE Project Manager - Mid will join the Cybersecurity Department’s Center of Excellence, responsible for managing the Cyber Technology SOGR project. This role involves overseeing large, complex projects that span multiple departments and vendors, both internal and external. The Project Manager will leverage formal project management methods to maintain control over the project lifecycle, including schedule, risk and issue tracking, change and configuration management, quality assurance, budget preparation, and reporting.
This role requires strong interpersonal, project management, and problem-solving skills, along with a PMP certification and experience with SAFe 5.5/6, Jira, and Confluence.
Primary Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Documentation: Develop and maintain essential project documentation, such as the Project Charter, Project Management Plan, Requirements, Design documents, Test Plans and results, Implementation Plans, and Lessons Learned.
- Project Monitoring: Manage the project schedule using Masterworks, track budget and schedule variances, and produce weekly status reports.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality, well-maintained project schedules and baselines, and produce estimates to complete projects and report variances.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks, developing an ongoing risk management plan.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Conduct project status and other meetings, collaborate with technical leads, project teams, and consultants, and manage SharePoint project sites.
- Reporting & Documentation: Publish weekly status reports and maintain records of activities, accomplishments, issues, and resolution actions.
- Operational Readiness: Oversee the completion of all activities required for operational readiness reviews, ensuring the timely delivery of projects at quality checkpoints and department-level reviews.
- SAFe Collaboration: Work with SAFe teams to ensure successful delivery of project capabilities and manage PLM artifacts.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience:
- 7-10 years of hands-on program and project management experience across the full project lifecycle.
- At least ten years in technology management, analysis, and administration.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical, communication, and writing skills, tailored to stakeholder needs.
- Proficient in MS Project Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio, with experience in tools like MS Project Server, Ariba on Demand, and Masterworks.
- Certifications: PMP, CSM, SAFe 5.5/6 related.
Preferred Qualifications
- Five years of project management experience in information security.
- Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project Server (EPM).
- Additional certifications: Security+, SSCP, and/or CISSP.
