Job Summary
The Infrastructure Architect leads the infrastructure architecture strategy and design of information systems to address the business requirements and support the overall business strategy and direction. The Infrastructure Architect prescribes the necessary technical infrastructure for development of new solutions for either on-prem, hybrid, XAAS or dedicated cloud environments.
The Infrastructure Architect assures that solutions can be implemented across multiple cloud, hybrid setups and on-prem environments and that authentication, data encryption and authorization security requirements are addressed by baseline data and applications infrastructure patterns.
The Infrastructure Architect will maintain and keep current the detailed views of the company’s infrastructure environments including network designs, infrastructure setups, initial run books and security domains, in on-prem, hybrid, or dedicated cloud environments in use by the company.
The Infrastructure Architect will participate in the development and adoption of an Architecture Framework, including defining processes, standards and best practices, and maintaining proficiency in the tools used (i.e. IcePanel, ServiceNOW, Smartsheet, Azure DevOPS).
Principal Duties/Responsibilities (essential Functions)
- Define and maintain the Infrastructure Architecture Strategy (on-prem and cloud) that is in accordance with IT and the DFJ/DA business, data, and applications segment architecture strategy.
- Maintain the accuracy of the current (AS-IS) infrastructure architecture as documented using architecture diagramming and architecture repository management tools.1241212
- Lead the infrastructure architecture strategy and design efforts associated with all implementation or enhancement initiatives.
- Perform infrastructure architecture feasibility in support of overall solution/application architecture feasibility assessments. Ensure propositions are compatible with existing DFJ and 3rd party SaaS solutions and work with offshore DA environments to which DFJ solutions are integrated.
- Prepare great infrastructure architecture designs in a way that IT Operations can understand and implement.
- Present infrastructure architecture designs in an understandable manner to various audiences like Business, IT Management, IT experts, IT Operations, etc. and be successful to get the buy in from those groups.
- Work with the Architecture team on proofs of concept or studies to support new business and IT initiatives.
- Design and document future state (TO-BE) infrastructure architecture proposition options for new business initiatives and their attendant IT projects, recommend the best option, and support the recommendation with the reasoning behind it.
- Effectively gather precise AS-IS infrastructure information from the technical experts and Operations.
- Verify/check that infrastructure designs are being implemented exactly as intended given proper authorization is given.
- Contribute to the troubleshooting of issues related with designed infrastructure architectures.
- Ensure implemented infrastructure architectures meet DFJ/DA agreements regarding zero-trust protection and authentication/encryption/authorization of data and data tagging.
- Lead the continuous improvement efforts within the Architecture group through developing and sharing deep expertise in particular subject areas.
- As an avid learner, monitor and stay current on infrastructure technology trends, particularly in the areas of cross-cloud API management, scaling (Azure) cloud resources cost effectively, regularly brief management on possible new technologies or infrastructure architecture designs.

Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Information Systems or similar field.
- Extensive knowledge of systems/network design, implementation and administration that includes LAN/WAN/SDWAN connectivity, remote authentication/encryption for access using VPN or similar solutions, platform engineering, synergies in proprietary systems, lifecycle management, documentation, secure communication, security/AV/Malware systems and meeting compliance standards.
- Ten (10) years of experience using Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and other Microsoft and also Linux services to design systems using those services.
- Ten (10) years of experience in IT environments with demonstrated experience in infrastructure design supporting ERP, PLM, CRM systems, etc. , exposure with business intelligence and data analytics (Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, etc.) and proven large system/network implementations.
- Three (3) years of experience working as an Infrastructure Architect with strong experience in architecting IT systems or a combination of with proven architected solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in infrastructure architectures, on-prem, hybrid and in the cloud (particularly Azure) as it relates to the potential and the limitations of all aspects of information technology including but not limited to infrastructure, security, data management and development.
- Experience in successful large systems migrations and upgrades involving multiple interfacing systems.
- Design of solutions for patching, update and inventory management to assure enterprise applications and systems are patched and secured as needed across all systems and applications used in the organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills when presenting solutions design and implementation to a variety of stakeholders (technical, functional, management)
- Highly organized and self-motivated with a focus on technology integration, system and process efficiency, maximized solution supportability and fiscal management effectiveness.

- Cisco related Certifications
- Microsoft MCSA/MCITP or related Microsoft Certifications
- Cloud platform certifications in AWS or Azure
- Experience with Linux/Unix flavors of systems
- Experience with Nutanix or similar HCI infrastructure
- Scripting and management experience for enterprise deployment solutions
- Experience in Cybersecurity, Security awareness
- Experience in manufacturing or aeronautic manufacturing environments across multiple sites in multiple states and countries
Physical Demands And Working Environment
- Combination office and remote work environment.
- Must be able to commute and work from our Teterboro offices on a regular basis, when the situation demands.
- Must be able to work at desk and computer for significant portion of the day.
- Must be able to work effectively with other department users with varied experience levels.
- Must be available and willing to work non-business hours, weekends and holidays as required.
- Travel up to 20% to other Dassault sites or for training and conferences.
