Job Title: Regulatory Specialist
Contract Duration: 5 Months (with potential for extension and conversion to FTE)
Location: Hybrid (1-2 days per week onsite)
Pay range $50 - $55/hr
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm
Job Description:About the Role: Our client is seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Specialist to join our Global Technology Control Testing team. As a Regulatory Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our cybersecurity and IT risk practices are in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, analyze, and report on cybersecurity requirements against NYDFS, FFIEC, and NIST CSF regulations.
- Assess the effectiveness of security controls and processes.
- Identify and address security vulnerabilities and propose effective solutions.
- Perform control assessments against enterprise cybersecurity frameworks and client standards.
- Track, manage, and report on cybersecurity-related issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of regulatory compliance/examination and audit experience.
- 5-7 years of experience in cybersecurity technical background and exposure to cloud technologies.
- Experience with security governance, policies, cybersecurity frameworks, and security standards.
- Understanding and experience with security controls/mechanisms and risk assessment techniques.
- Information security related certification (such as Security+, CISA, CISM, CISSP).
- Recent relevant financial industry experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of NYDFS Cybersecurity regulations.
- Experience with regulatory examinations.
- Strong understanding of NIST CSF.
