Systems Administrator
Position Role Expectation:
*All Technician level 2 requirements are needed for Systems Administrator
As we take networking and security very seriously at Twin Lakes Tech, this is considered
a senior-level position. A Systems Administrator is responsible for the health and security of the
assigned contracts network and they will ensure we have all the proper systems in place to do
so. They will monitor and manage the network and involve vendors if needed to troubleshoot
issues. Regular audits will be conducted by this team to ensure we are up to date with no
potential risks at all contracts.
This administrator will also be responsible for responding to any day-to-day network
problem. They will take part in the procurement process, giving their recommendations on
purchases. They will also act as the escalation point for level 2 techs and the Virtual Office
Specialist. They will occasionally participate in internal leadership meetings and customer
meetings alongside the Director as consultants. This position takes responsibility for their action
and the success of the network. This position will rarely communicate directly with the customer
and instead report updates and issues to the virtual office and Director.

Skills and Experience:
● Deep understanding of Twin Lakes Tech including processes and procedures.
● Expert knowledge of hardware and software with a focus on networking
● Regularly provides clear communication, transparency, and honesty when dealing with
more difficult technical issues and must know the proper time to loop in the Director/
vendor
● Displays professionalism at all times
● High level of support for the team as they will be looked towards to solve more difficult
issues
● Precise communication skills, across both written and verbal environments
● Understanding of both K-12 and Municipal organizations and network set-ups
● Flexible with needing to be onsite

● Has spent time with the System Admin team and helped on projects
System Admin Duties:
● Works closely with other teams within Twin Lakes Tech and provides escalation support
to the entire team.
● Expert troubleshooting skills in person and remotely
● Proficient in navigating Google Suite/Clever/Mobile Device Management.
● Proficient in Office 365, CJIS Online, Azure, and Municipal Apps
● Be able to fully resolve issues in the virtually
● Lead collaboration with third-party vendors to resolve issues.
● Expert in troubleshooting network and other higher-level technical problems including
network connectivity inclusive of wiring, switches, routing, IP addressing, monitoring, and
upgrading wireless infrastructures, able to manage SSID profiles and apply security
policy.
● Install, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN and VoIP Infrastructure
● Can install and configure switches, routers, web filters, and firewalls
following best practices.
● Can monitor server performance including Active Directory health, DNS,
DHCP, and Google Admin.
● Recommend upgrades necessary to ensure server operation
● Must know how to resolve almost all tech problems
● Help train and mentor level 2 techs
● Largely contributes to the internal knowledge base and documentation
● Specialises in assigned client's network and shows targeted support to the team around
that specialization (Cisco, Juniper, Auba, etc.)
● Knows how to perform and monitor data backups and RMM
● Experienced with completing migrations, installing APs, terminating and punching down
cables
● Keep Virtual Office informed with real-time updates of organization-stopping tech issues
● Conduct security audits
● Develop and enforce security policies and best practices
● Web-Filter settings will be documented and tested to ensure controls are in place to
protect end users
● Play a key role in most projects like network upgrades, security vulnerability
assessments, and opportunity assessments
