Role Description:
Aquila is seeking a highly skilled and detailed-oriented Software QA/QC Analyst to ensure quality and efficiency to our software development efforts. This individual will lead our Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) initiatives and play a critical role in supporting DevOps processes, ensuring seamless code deployment and version control. Additionally, they will contribute to the implementation of ISO 9001 standards for software QA/QC. This is a full-time on-site role at Aquila Engineering LLC in Houston, TX.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage QA/QC processes for software development.
- Implement and maintain DevOps practices, including continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), version control, and release management.
- Ensure all software releases are delivered with proper documentation, including technical specifications, release notes, and version control.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure code quality, testing, and deployment protocols are upheld.
- Support the maintenance of ISO 9001 standards related to software quality management.
- Develop and implement testing strategies, both automated and manual, to ensure the reliability and performance of deliverables.
- Ensure internal processes for code review, testing, and troubleshooting are followed and enhanced as needed.
- Provide support for DevOps workflows, enabling smooth and efficient software releases.
- Act as the key liaison between development, operations, and QA teams to streamline collaboration and maintain alignment on projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in software quality assurance and DevOps practices.
- Strong understanding of QA/QC methodologies and software development lifecycle.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and experience in quality management systems.
- Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, version control (e.g., Grit), and environment management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a focus on working across multiple teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
