Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and manage our cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in cloud environments, IaC tools such as Terraform and Ansible, and a solid background in Linux systems. This role requires proficiency in DevOps methodologies to ensure the stability, scalability, and performance of our cloud-based systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices with Terraform and Ansible.
- Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployments.
- System Performance: Ensure the availability, performance, scalability, and security of cloud environments.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to define and implement infrastructure strategies and best practices.
- Linux Systems: Manage Linux-based systems and servers, including tasks related to monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting.
- CI/CD Pipelines: Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
- Continuous Improvement: Optimize existing infrastructure and processes to enhance efficiency and reduce operational overhead.
- Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Industry Trends: Stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies to drive innovation within the team.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 10+ years in cloud operations, system administration, or related fields.
- Cloud Platforms: Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- IaC Tools: Proficiency with Terraform and Ansible for Infrastructure as Code.
- Linux Systems: Strong experience with Linux-based systems, including administration, networking, and troubleshooting.
- DevOps Tools: Expertise in DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Automation: Proven experience in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
- Security: Knowledge of cloud security best practices, including identity management, access control, and data protection.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
- Communication: Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Terraform Associate, RHCE) are a plus.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
