Position Title: Systems Administrator
Location: Tallahassee, FL
Duration: 12+ Months
Responsibilities
1. Develop and manage security best practices for FWC.
2. Develop and install cloud systems and Cybersecurity systems.
3. Assist with IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology deployments. 4. Ensure systems comply with industry standards and regulations, such as GDPR, NIST, CJIS, etc.
5. Assist with the development and implementation of system documentation.
6. Prepare Cybersecurity documentation.
7. Respond to and resolve system and network-related incidents and service requests promptly.
8. Perform regular backups and ensure data integrity and recoverability.
9. Manage and maintain Active Directory, including user account management and group policies. 10. Apply operating system and application patches and updates.
11. Monitor and maintain server performance, availability, and reliability.
12. Ensure system and network security by implementing and updating firewall rules, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus solutions.
13. Collaborate with other IT team members and stakeholders to achieve project goals.
14. Manage virtualization platforms and cloud-based services as required.
15. Develop risk analysis and security reporting.
16. Monitor and remediate software or hardware vulnerabilities.
17. Evaluate current and future Cybersecurity tools and infrastructure systems.
18. Educate IT and program areas about security and system policies.
19. Submit and validate system change management.
20. Document hours worked by task(s).
21. Follow FWC IT processes and coordinate with other FWC IT staff to ensure compliance with FWC standards.
22. Complies with and enforces all agency policies, procedures, and security policies.
23. Provide technical training (Knowledge Transfer) related to information technology systems and security as required for the Office of Information Technology Support Staff.
24. Work location will be a combination of onsite at FWC offices in Tallahassee, Florida, and remote work, depending on the situation, which will be defined per project.
25. The Contractor agrees to adhere to all confidentiality and data protection policies set forth by the FWC.
Required Skills
1. 4+ years of combined IT and security work experience with a broad range of exposure to systems Analysis.
2. 4+ years of experience with information technology security.
3. 4+ years of experience with Firewall policies, implementation, and best practices.
4. 2+ years of experience with cloud computing and cloud computing security.
5. Requires knowledge of security issues, techniques, and implications across all computer platforms. 6. Must have a good understanding of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
7. Must have a good understanding of the MITRE framework.
8. Must be CJIS certified or can become CJIS certified.
Education
1. An associate's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field of study.
2. Additional relevant experience may substitute for the recommended educational level on a year-for year basis, and additional relevant education may substitute for the recommended experience on a year-for-year basis.
