The Network Administrator will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, integration and deployment of an enterprise backbone network infrastructure for the Office of Information Technology including but not limited to: network analysis, network design, network security, wireless communications, automated system monitoring, consulting, capacity planning and new service offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use and knowledge of Cisco / Fortinet (routers, switches, Firewall, wireless, load balancers cable testing equipment.
- Expertise in the design, analysis, optimization, and operation of LAN/WAN, wireless and security devices.
- Packet capturing and interpretation.
- Solid analytical and logical troubleshooting skills.
- SNMP for Network Management.
- NetFlow for baseline and troubleshooting communications.
- Follow procedures and guidelines to install, patch, configure, customize, troubleshoot, upgrade, integrate, and maintain infrastructure technology.
- Identifying and implementing ways to prevent problems and future proofing the technologies.
- Ability to guide future decisions to ensure Network services continue to meet the needs of customers.
- Maintain disaster recovery documentation.
- Hands-on experience in some of or all following areas: Data Center Technologies, QoS, VoIP SSL VPN/IPsec VPN, Wireless technologies, Load balancers, Cisco Nexus, SAN Connectivity.
- Good experience on site-to-site VPN, remote VPN, data protection, URL filtering, NAT, QOS, IPSEC.
- Experience with performance monitoring tools.
Experience & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of IT infrastructure and operations experience
- Current network certification preferred.
- A hands-on collaborative style of working is a must.
