client in Santa Clara, CA that is seeking a Linux Administrator. Candidates must be located in the SF Bay Area and able to travel locally, domestically, and internationally.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain documentation
- Troubleshooting hardware and OS-related issues
- Report bugs or RFE to the Platform Team
Requirements
- 5+ years of Linux admin + server hardware experience (deployment, troubleshooting, monitoring, and regular maintenance); Customer runs no VM or Cloud based environments - Physical Servers only
- 1+ years of experience working with Ansible or Bash
- Experience with RHEL 8.5+
- Experience with managing physical x86 servers remotely
- Physical hands-on experience with x86 servers
- OS deployment experience via various means (kickstart, out of band, and locally)
- Experience working with NFS
- Experience working in mixed internal and external environments
- Hands-on experience with racking, stacking, and cabling enterprise-grade hardware.
- Should be able to describe in detail to an individual who may have never touched hardware before how to reseat a cable or replace an individual component or the entire unit
- Experience troubleshooting the application layers
- Ability to dig into logs and backend services to do an RCA report
- Python experience
- Ability to create from scratch or augment existing ones
- Machine Learning experience is nice to have
- Container experience (deployment, management, troubleshooting) is a plus
- Familiar with PF9 is a major plus
