Objectives
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience maintaining, configuring, and ensuring the reliable operation of our computer systems, network servers, and complex IT systems. This role requires a strong understanding of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, and Atlassian products like Jira and Confluence, NetSuite, and more. The role involves managing and supporting our IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and security systems, to ensure optimal performance and security.
Essential Functions
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of our technology systems, managing access control and ensuring optimal performance and reliability
- User Support: Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Security Management: Monitor and maintain security protocols, manage firewalls, and ensure systems are protected against unauthorized access, vulnerabilities, and threats.
- Proactively identify system vulnerabilities and implement security measures to protect sensitive data.
- System Monitoring: Continuously monitor system performance, identify issues, and make recommendations for improvements.

- Manage and troubleshoot system issues, providing timely resolutions.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and implement IT strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Stay updated with the latest technology trends and independently research solutions to technical challenges.

Competencies
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience), relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator
- System Management: Install, configure, and maintain software.
- User Support: Set up accounts and provide technical support to end-users.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft cloud products and SSO deployment
- Experience with backup and recovery tools.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Understanding cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze system requirements and develop improvement plans
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with help desk ticketing systems administration (Intercom, Zendesk, Jira, etc.) a plus

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
