Job Description: Sr. Systems Administrator
Location: Remote with Occasional visit at Austin, TX
Duration: Long term contract
Note: Need someone with State/Federal client experience.
Position Overview: We are seeking a Systems Administrator Sr. to support the implementation and integration of Microsoft Copilot and its associated technologies. This role involves working with advanced security, data privacy, and end-user interface (UI) solutions related to Microsoft’s Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Information Protection (MIP). The ideal candidate will assist in implementing and ensuring the security and privacy of sensitive information, including NERC/CIP, PII, proprietary data, and other protected information across various Microsoft 365 apps, services, and devices.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the deployment of Microsoft Copilot and related AI technologies, ensuring robust security and data privacy measures are in place.
- Implement and manage Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies, extending them to endpoints.
- Utilize Microsoft Defender to monitor policy effectiveness, investigate incidents, respond to alerts, and mitigate risks, while staying informed on emerging threats.
- Develop and maintain Power Apps and Power Automate workflows using low-code/no-code solutions, including PowerFX syntax.
- Create Canvas apps using Power Apps to streamline business processes.
- Work with Microsoft 365 apps to classify and protect sensitive information through the use of sensitivity labels, encryption, and access restrictions.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 4-7 years of experience with Microsoft Purview, including developing and maintaining DLP policies, and extending them to endpoints.
- 4-7 years of experience with Microsoft Defender, including monitoring policy effectiveness, incident response, and risk mitigation.
- 4-7 years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including developing Power Apps and Power Automate workflows, and utilizing PowerFX syntax.
Preferred Skills:
- 3 years of experience with PowerShell, including automation of tasks.
- 2 years of experience with Python, including coding for automation or processes.
- 2 years of experience with JavaScript, including coding for web-based applications.
Term of Service:
- January 2025 through September 30, 2025 (may extend into FY26).
Work Hours and Location:
- 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (flexible) Monday through Friday.
- This role is currently remote, with occasional in-person meetings at the work location when required.
