About the position:
We are looking for an experienced Chief Information Officer to join our leadership team and oversee all aspects
of technology within our organization. This role will set the company's overall technology strategy, align it with
our business objectives and ensure its successful execution. They will also lead the IT department, manage the
technology budget and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Responsibilities
• Set and communicate clear and realistic IT goals and priorities in alignment with the company's vision and
objectives
• Oversee the annual development and administration of a two-million-dollar IT budget, ensuring cost-effective
expenditures and optimized performance
• Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with external vendors and technology providers
• Define and implement the company's technology strategy, architecture, and roadmap, ensuring scalability,
reliability, and innovation
• Develop and oversee disaster recovery and IT security plans, minimizing risks and ensuring business
continuity
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and alignment on technology initiatives and projects
• Plan and execute the development and deployment of technical, web, and mobile services, identifying new
opportunities and solutions
• Advise and support other departments on technology-related matters, such as marketing, trading, and
operations
• Establish and enforce technology standards and best practices, ensuring quality and consistency
• Manage our IT team, clearly defining employee roles and company needs while fostering a culture of
learning and growth
• Share and promote the company's technological vision, opportunities, and risks with internal and external
stakeholders
• Stay updated on current and emerging industry trends, technologies, and best practices
• Represent the company at relevant conferences and networking events
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field (master's degree
- preferred)
- Previous experience as a CIO, director, or similar leadership role
- Prior experience as a senior leader overseeing architecture and engineering for enterprise-wide technology
- platforms and leading SaaS technology platforms
- Broad knowledge of software engineering: languages, frameworks, techniques, and industry trends
- Experience leading complex, significant changes and initiatives; demonstrated skills in change
- management on an organizational and interpersonal level; experience with integrating teams across
- multiple business departments
- Experience designing and managing an IT governance framework across the spectrum of IT service
- delivery
- Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking abilities with a problem-solving
- aptitude
- Solid understanding of broad technology trends and the ability to align innovation with business
- goals
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical topics in easy-to-understand
- business terms and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners
- Strategic thinking, including identifying new opportunities, driving clarity, creating focus, and
- making tough decisions in complex and dynamic contexts
- Ability to track and identify new technologies to solve complex business issues
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary to be consistent with experience and potential, ranging from $150,000 to 200,000
