About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect with a strong background in Azure services to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 10-12 years of overall experience in data architecture, with 5-6 years of focused expertise in Azure cloud technologies, including Azure Databricks, Azure DevOps (ADO), Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS Gen2), and SQL Server.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Architecture & Strategy:
- Design and implement scalable data architecture solutions that align with business needs and technological advancements.
- Develop and maintain data models, databases, and data pipelines that ensure data integrity, security, and performance.
- Define data management strategies and best practices, ensuring compliance with data governance and security standards.
- Azure Services Expertise:
- Leverage Azure Databricks for big data processing, machine learning, and analytics workloads.
- Utilize Azure DevOps (ADO) for CI/CD pipeline integration, enabling seamless deployment and management of data solutions.
- Implement data integration workflows using Azure Data Factory, orchestrating data movement and transformation across various sources.
- Design and manage data storage solutions using Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS Gen2), ensuring efficient data access and management.
- Optimize and manage SQL Server databases, ensuring high availability and performance for mission-critical applications.
- Collaboration & Leadership:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders, to understand requirements and deliver data solutions that meet business objectives.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact and integrating them into the existing architecture where appropriate.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation, driving efficiency and scalability in data operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10-12 years of overall experience in data architecture, data management, and related fields.
- 5-6 years of hands-on experience with Azure services, specifically Azure Databricks, Azure DevOps (ADO), Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS Gen2), and SQL Server.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient data architecture solutions in cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of data governance, data security, and compliance requirements in cloud environments.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in an Agile environment, with familiarity with Scrum or other Agile methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Data Engineer) are highly desirable.
- Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Knowledge of advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI integration is advantageous.
