POSITION OVERVIEW
The IT Manager provides hands-on support and operational leadership for implementing technology initiatives to support the business operations. This role is responsible for day-to-day management of the technology and communications network, serving as a liaison between the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), staff, and supporting Managed Service Provider (MSP). The IT Manager will oversee business informational systems and applications, network infrastructure, IT Helpdesk support, and equipment purchases.
CORPORATE STRUCTURE
The IT Manager will report directly to the CTO. The IT Leader will interact with all employees and all functional leadership and will serve as liaison to third party outside IT vendor. This is a hands on role managing tasks and projects (not people) and requires the applicant to work onsite at our NYC office a minimum of three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). Management decision for working remotely for two days.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
• Executes IT processes and procedures as directed by the CTO, ensuring alignment with company specifications and requirements.
• Provides L1 and L2 desktop support to staff, serving as the primary point of contact for IT related issues.
• Maintains and troubleshoots hardware and software, ensuring data security through proper back-up procedures and adherence to security policies.
• Assists in defining and implementing effective information system processes by conferring with users, analyzing functions, and addressing user needs.
• Researches hardware and software options, providing recommendations to the CTO for potential improvements or upgrades.
• Monitors and ensures compliance with IT security policies, including all relevant state and federal requirements.
• Assists in implementing and maintaining the disaster recovery plan as directed by the CTO.
• Participates in IT planning and problem-solving initiatives, contributing to tactical technological solutions.
• Manages relationships with third-party IT vendors and the MSP, serving as a liaison between these entities and internal stakeholders.
• Promotes a results-oriented, accountable culture within the IT function, focusing on meeting tactical objectives and maintaining best practices for governance and internal control.
BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS:
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT management, with a strong emphasis on hands on technical support and project management.
• Knowledge of systems maintenance, troubleshooting, and user support.
• Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure, data security, and vendor negotiations.
• Advanced certifications in Microsoft, Cisco, or CompTIA are preferred.
• Experience in property casualty insurance or other regulated industry strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Informa>on Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

COMPENSATION
Annual Salary $75,000.00 to $80,000.00
Monday through Friday, with rotating on-call, after-hours support as needed.
