The Senior IT Specialist is responsible for the design, deployment, and support of a multi-location Microsoft Systems environment. This role will also include some networking and peripheral support. You will maintain performance, availability and integrity of the system working with tech and non-tech users. You must have well rounded understanding of IT, as well as the ability to troubleshoot problems and implement solutions. This is a long term contract position located onsite in South Elgin.
There are 3 locations within 1 / 2 mile from each other and will require you provide in-person attention as needed to these locations.
- 3-5 years of experience with M365 and Teams
- Hands-on experience in a Linux operating system
- Hands on LAN/WAN Network experience to include firewalls
- Experience supporting 50+ users is good
- Ability to set up new user accounts
- Create documentation for knowledge base
- Responsibility for system backups and data integrity
- Excellent communication skills to work with all levels within the organization
- The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between locations a half mile apart
- A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required.
- Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
- Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude
